Apex Officer, an international provider of VR training simulators and technology provider for the police and law enforcement markets, announced today that they’re officially launching their Apex Officer of the Week award program and are currently accepting nominations.

Every week, the Apex Officer team gives its Apex Officer of the Week award to a well-rounded law enforcement officer who has exceeded the duty requirements expected of his or her position and has demonstrated a distinct pattern of community service coupled with professional achievement.

Apex Officer of the Week was created to thank police and law enforcement officers across the country for all the daily sacrifices they make for their communities. The Apex Officer of the Week award recognizes outstanding achievement in law enforcement and honors the heroes who work tirelessly every day to make communities around the world safer.

“Police and law enforcement officers of every rank and file have chosen a profession that puts their life on the line every day for their communities. They’ve answered a call to public service that is demanding and often unappreciated. With the Apex Officer of the Week program, we have an opportunity to thank them for their service and offer a token of respect,” said Chase Dittmer, chairman, and CEO of Apex Officer.

“When a police officer is killed, it’s not an agency that loses an officer, it’s an entire nation,” said Chase Dittmer. It’s hard to imagine any other occupation in which 10% of the employees were assaulted every year, but statistics show that’s the case with police. It’s our responsibility as community members to let them know that they’re appreciated.”

Law enforcement agencies and community members are encouraged to select and honor a law enforcement officer for the national award by nominating a police officer for the Apex Officer of the Week award by visiting our website and submitting the required information at https://www.apexofficer.com/weekly-awards

Nominations are now open for the Apex Officer of the Year award. Nominations for Apex Officer of the Year can be submitted on our website: https://www.apexofficer.com/awards
